White House Visitor Center

Project Description: The White House Visitor Center offers visitors a window into the White House, the official home and principal workplace for the President of the United States.  Housed in the original neoclassical designed US Patent Offices, the Visitor Center was renovated to upgrade and include interactive multimedia exhibits, display of White House artifacts, accessibility and a store.  The Visitor Center Store is managed and operated by the White House Historical Association, a private nonprofit organization, chartered on November 3, 1961, to enhance understanding, appreciation, and enjoyment of the historic White House. doyle + associates assisted SmithGroupJJR, the project design team, with the store design and programming.
